Sky News: Shipping of 15 million doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine was halted after a human error

Sky News Arabia reported, in its breaking news a short while ago, that shipment of 15 million doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccine had been stopped after a human error in one of the company's laboratories, according to the New York Times.

The European Union had agreed with the American company "Johnson & Johnson", which manufactured the drug, to receive 200 million doses of a single-dose anti-"Covid-19" vaccine this year.

The European "Euro News" network indicated today, Wednesday, that the vaccine will be delivered for the first time in European Union countries during the 19 of April.

The European Commission said that it is expected to obtain 55 million doses from the company by the end of next June, but the exact schedule for the delivery of doses has not been announced.

The vaccine for "Johnson & Johnson" is the fourth to be approved by the European Medicines Agency, after vaccines developed by the American German companies "Faiz-Biontech", the American "Moderna" and the British-Swedish "AstraZeneca", and it showed an efficacy of 67% in Reducing the number of new symptomatic cases of coronavirus.

The European Medicines Agency granted "Johnson & Johnson" during the month of March a conditional marketing permit, stating that the company met "standards of efficacy, safety and quality", and that the vaccine is already being distributed in the United States and South Africa.
