Ashraf Al-Mawafi, Egypt's ambassador to Hungary, and accompanied by Khaled Zaher, the Egyptian consul in Hungary, visited the Egyptian national team mission for the modern five-year participation in the Hungary International Championship, which was held in the Hungarian capital, Budapest, from February 27 until March 3.
Ambassador Ashraf Al-Mawafi and Consul Khaled Zahir were keen to visit the mission at its residence, where he was received by Dr. Haitham Al-Sharnoubi, member of the board of directors of the Egyptian Federation of Modern Five, Head of the Mission, and Professor Hashem Yass, Executive Director of the Egyptian Federation of Modern Five, administering the mission. He honored their appearance at the best level, praising the honorable appearance of the mission behaviorally and ethically in this sporting forum.
The mission thanked the Egyptian ambassador to Hungary, Ashraf Al-Mouafi, for his interest and keenness to visit the mission and his encouragement to the players.
Hashem Yass, Executive Director of the Egyptian Federation of Modern Five, said that this visit reflects the extent of the interest that the state attaches to its athletes, even outside the borders, and is considered a supporter and a strong incentive for players and players to achieve the best results.
This tournament is considered the first international tournament in the modern quintet since international activity stopped due to the Corona pandemic.
The Egyptian mission is headed by Dr. Haitham Al-Sharnoubi, a member of the Federation’s Board of Directors. The mission includes Professor Hashem Yass, Executive Director of the Union’s Mission Administration, Raouf Houssam, Technical Director, Muhammad Ghaith, a weapons trainer, Yusef Jalal, an equestrian trainer, and Ali Khamis, a technical advisor for weapons.
And Egypt represented 4 players in the tournament: Islam Hamed, Ahmed El-Gendy, Muhannad Tariq, and Ali El-Din Sharif, and 3 players, Salma Ayman, Amira Qandil, and Noreen Polis.
