Developing the tourist marina in Luxor Governorate and providing amenities for tourists



The Luxor Governorate is witnessing the development of the tourist marina for tourism and antiquities. The first phase of the marina development has been fully completed, and the development work for the second phase of the marina is currently being completed. An engineering committee will be formed to follow up on the procedures for taking over the berth in its two stages during the next few days.

 

The importance of paving the marina and providing amenities for tourists, and adding all capabilities to provide and facilitate access for people with special needs and their luggage up to the mooring level of floating hotels.

 

Samia Sami, the permanent representative for Tourism and Antiquities, explained that the development of the marina is carried out in cooperation with the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces, pointing out that the berth has a total length of 1,200 meters, and is equipped with the appropriate number of stairs and houses distributed every 200 meters, and the length of the first stage is 450 m. It was developed in September 2020, and it added that the second phase is 750 meters long, and its development is underway.

 

The development project is in line with the visual vision of Luxor Governorate, including raising the efficiency of facades, floors, lighting units, and coordinating the site, as well as developing bazaars and storefronts in the Marsa to provide the best level of tourism services there.

 

This is in addition to what the development work included in terms of raising the efficiency of stairs and houses to facilitate access to floating hotels, and to raise the efficiency of services, facilities, and civil protection requirements.
