Russia summons its ambassador from Washington for consultations

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that Russia has summoned the Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, to Moscow for consultations, where the prospects for relations with Washington will be evaluated, according to "Russia Today." The Kremlin said today, Wednesday, that Russia is taking all necessary measures to prepare itself for new American sanctions that are expected to be imposed after Publication of a report by the CIA accuses Moscow of political interference.

A 15-page CIA report said on Tuesday that Russian President Vladimir Putin may have made efforts to try to tip Donald Trump in the 2020 US presidential election.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said there was no basis for these allegations, adding that they were not based on any evidence.

He said it would do more harm to the bilateral ties.
