The Russian Foreign Ministry protests Ukraine's provocations to its diplomats in Kiev



The Russian Foreign Ministry announced today, Wednesday, that it has summoned the interim Chargé d'Affairs of Ukraine to Moscow, Vasily Bocutillo, to protest a "provocative act" against Russian diplomats in Kiev.


The ministry said in a statement that the Russian side expressed to the Ukrainian Chargé d'Affairs "a strong protest due to the provocative act that targeted the diplomats of the Russian Embassy in Ukraine on March 16."


The Foreign Ministry stated that banners bearing pictures of Russian diplomats and offensive comments were affixed to the embassy building and their places of residence in Kiev, in addition to damaging four cars belonging to the Russian mission that were standing in the city.
